P . Kathy McCabe,a consultant for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development was present to discuss the process with the Board. David Bailey,Director of Assessing, Tom Fudala,the Town Planner,Wayne D � y uchemin, the Economic Development Coordinator and Economic Development Committee Member Sid Stern Ted Lewis an P d Paul Reynolds were also present for discussion. Ms. McCabe indicated that the Cape is designated as an established ed E conornic Target Are Three program components of Economic Development Incentive art, P , Economic Target Areas Economic Opportunity Areas CertifiedProjects (TOP-Target Opportunity Projects) Economic Target Areas can be focused on commercial and industrial zoned areas ' or 1n art where the Town would like to spur further development. It was noted that ETA' prohibited . P s are p ted for use in residential areas,but may be considered for use in mixed residential/commerclal areas. Economic Opportunity Areas will allow for business growth and expansion,promote further . . gT P ,p ote economic stability and reduce chronic employment. Ms.McCabe indicated that EOA's are subject t to the approval of Town Meeting action. _ Each project is reviewed and evaluated on a case by case basis subject to Town Meeting J g approval. All Town Meeting votes are simple majority.
