NTS AND ,.,HEAR,INQS= <br /> Public Hearing - Seasonal Liquor License Renewals: <br /> Vice-Charman Costa opened the Public Hearing on the Renewal of <br /> All Seasonal Liquor Licenses in the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Mr. Whritenour read aloud the Public Hearing notice as published. <br /> It was noted that all necessary paperwork is in order for approval. <br /> Selectman Costa opened the Public Hearing to solicit comment. <br /> James McCarthy,President of Stendahl Place Condominiums in New <br /> Seabury was present on behalf of the condominium unit owners to discuss <br /> the license application of the Raw Bar,Inc. It was noted that five units <br /> out of the twenty are in close proximity to the establishment. <br /> Mr. McCarthy indicated that the unit owners have concerns about the <br /> noise of patrons exiting the Raw Bar. He asked if the facility would <br /> consider weekend parking lot control for noise and safety control. <br /> 3 Attorney Mark Gildea was present on behalf of the Raw Bar,Inc. <br /> Robert weeks,Manager and Deborah Moniz an employee of the Raw Bar <br /> were also present for discussion. <br /> With regards to control of the parking lot and noise factor,Attorney Gildea <br /> indicated that New Seabury has private security controlling the area. In <br /> addition,the Popponesset Beach Association hires police to patrol the area. <br /> Y Attorney Gildea indicated that the Raw Bar has operated without incident <br /> this past season. He noted that the Raw Bar is doing its best to be <br /> "good neighbors". <br /> Mr.McCarthy asked of the intended hours of operation. He was informed <br /> by Mr.weeks that the license states 1:0o a.m.. as closing time. In an effort <br /> to reach a compromise with the neighborhood,the Raw Bar will remain <br /> open until 11:30 p.m.; Monday through Thursday. On Friday, Saturday <br /> and Sunday,the facility will close at 12:00 a.m. <br /> Selectman Caffyn related concern with regards to a memo received from <br /> Deputy Hamblin of the Fire Department. Seasonal establishments are <br /> usually inspected at the beginning of each season because all electricity is <br /> turned off and not prior to the license renewal. <br /> It was noted that Deputy Hamblin signed off on the establishments. He <br /> indicated in his memo of March 221, 1995 that he feels confident that there <br /> will not be any problems with compliance as it relates to the seasonal <br /> license holders. <br />
