Page 11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 24, 1995 <br /> OLD BUSINESS. <br /> i <br /> Town Hall Building Committee Recommendations: <br /> Selectman Vaccaro, a member of the Town Hall Building Committee <br /> requested direction from the Board with regards to the future use of the <br /> Town Hall facility. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to restore and maintain <br /> the use of the current Town Hall building as the future <br /> Town Hall facility. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> VOTE: 4-1. Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Caffyn in opposition. <br /> Selectman Vaccaro presented a renovation/restoration proposal deemed <br /> as Phase 1 of the Mashpee Town Hail project to the Board for review. <br /> (enclosed) <br /> It was noted that the Capital Improvement Committee and Town Hall <br /> i <br /> Building Committee have approved of Phase 1 for an estimated net cost <br /> Of $1,498,000. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Dinizio to approve of the Phase 1 <br /> concept as outlined for the Town Hall facility and authorize <br /> the proposal to be presented to the voters at Town Meeting. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Costa,, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Barnstable County Department of Human Services re: <br /> Grant Program: <br /> James Long, the Council on Aging Director and Gus Frederick, the <br /> Leisure Services Director were present to discuss the Massachusetts <br /> Department of Social Services grant entitled "Community Connections" <br /> with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> The grant willrovide family reservation and support initiative over a <br /> P yp <br /> five year period working towards the mission of strengthening families <br /> through inclusive,resident responsive, community based activities <br /> indicated Mr. Frederick. <br /> It was noted that a preliminary application was submitted on April 7, 1995 <br /> to begin the process. A meeting is scheduled on April 13, 1995 to <br /> discuss the planning process and capacity assessment. <br />
