One appointment <br /> would be Special Police officer,the second an Auxiliary Police officer. <br /> Each officer would be required to work 16 to 20 hours monthly,in <br /> Y k <br /> four hour blocks as an unpaid Auxiliary officer to maintain the level of <br /> training. Under the second appointment as a Special Police officer, <br /> the officer could be assigned to work private details. <br /> Thisarrangement would benefit the Department b having. Y g a group of <br /> P <br /> equipped and trained personnel from which we might want to <br /> possibly select a future full time officer indicated Chief Przybylek. <br /> Enclosed for the Board's review was aro sed agreement <br /> P Po submitted <br /> by the Chief. He recommended the Board allow Town Counsel to review <br /> and approve the agreement to form and content prior to its use. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the ointment <br /> PP PP <br /> of Auxiliary Police officers as recommended endin <br /> ■ pending <br /> Town Counsels review and approval. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE: unanimous. 5-0. r <br /> RecommenAationfrPfl ADpointmentsj <br /> is <br /> Communication was received from Police Chief Przybylek dated '= <br /> sz <br /> May 18, 1995 recommending the Board appoint Robert Costa,Jr. and <br /> Albert Todino as Police Officers. <br /> Chief Przybylek has also requested that all full time officers appointed <br /> in the future be from within the Department's group of Auxihary/Special <br /> Police officers,utilizing other candidates only when the group of <br /> i <br /> Auxiliary/Special Officers are not qualified. <br /> In addition to the above request, Chief Przybylek has proposed to expand <br /> the number of Auxiliary/Special Officers to twelve and permit members <br /> of that group to attend a full time academy at their own expense,but <br /> under the sponsorship of the Town. <br />
