We should work in a collaborative effort <br /> to create a plan of consensus indicated W. Storrs. <br /> Mr, Chase suggested the Board consider creating a committee comprised <br /> . g p <br /> of municipal boards and the general populous to reach the desired z <br /> consensus for the benefit of the community, y <br /> Several ideas for Mashpee as generated from the Vision Workshop session <br /> include the development of a skating rink, a band shell,residential and <br /> affordable retail shops and a hotel facility noted Mr. Storrs. - <br /> Developing a plan for Mashpee will add to the tax base and promote <br /> local job creation andeen industry related Mr. Chase. <br /> gr try <br /> It was noted that the current zoning is the area of Mashpee Commons is <br /> zoned as commercial space. our goal is to propose a zoning amendment <br /> at the October Town Meeting indicated Mr. Storrs. <br /> With regards to promotingand beautifyingMashpee, Selectman CaffY <br /> n <br /> suggested that Field's Point incorporate additional landscaping to help <br /> P <br /> beautify existing areas such as Donna's Lane and Job's Fishing Road. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to support the concept <br /> of forming a committee as outlined inviting the Planning <br /> Board, Economic Development Committee, Board of Health, <br /> Cape Cod Commission, Executive Secretary, and Board of <br /> Selectmen to designate membership to work with the principals - <br /> of Field's Point to develop a concept for the Town of <br /> F <br /> Mashpee providing that there will not be a deadline to meet <br /> the October Town Meeting for the proposed zoning f <br /> amendment. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. r: <br />
