The day will include a sandcastle competition, volleyball <br /> competition, face painting, tattooing, photographs, sand sculpture, fishing demonstration, " <br /> arts and crafts, music and refreshments. <br /> SUNDAY OCTOBER STH 10:00 AM-4:00 PM OPEN HOUSE <br /> The Police and Fire Department will host an open house at their complex on Route 151. <br /> The day will include a tour of the facilities, a demonstration of the vehicles, equipment <br /> and the new rope course. There will be caricature portraits by John woodruff and a <br /> police surplus auction. Refreshments <br /> SATURDAY OCTOBER 14TH 6:00PM CO TY DINNER/DANCE AT THE <br /> POPPONESSET INN <br /> Hors d'oeuvres, Dinner, presentations, surprises, dancing and fireworks <br /> Tickets $25.00 pp available at the Information Center and the Selectman's Office <br /> SATURDAY OCTOBER 2 1 ST 1:00 PM MOUNT RUSHMORE FLAG PROCESSION <br /> A nationally acclaimed flag process, hosted in Mashpee by the Cub Scouts, will be held <br /> on the Mashpee School Athletic Field. A parade of 12 peace flags will be carried across <br /> the field by various Town groups accompanied by the VFW Honor Guard. The <br /> Procession will move to the music of the 567th Air Force Band. The procession will - <br /> continue with a concert, speeches, a 21 gun salute and a raising of the spectacular 90' x <br /> 45 American flag. Everyone in the community will then be asked to participate in a <br /> - � p <br /> Town-wide photograph as the flag is lowered. <br /> MA.SHPEE'S 125TH COMMEMORATIVEEXHIBIT (Ongoing) <br /> Mallway at the Mashpee Commons <br /> A photography exhibit prepared by Joanne Ferragamo. this display chronicles the history <br /> Of Mashpee as a town from 1 870 - 1995.
