Page 4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 28, 1995 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Memo from Police Chief re; Flea Market Details: <br /> Communication was received from Chief Prz b lek dated August 17 1395 <br /> . yy � <br /> relative to the Flea Market operator's failure to a <br /> pay maples due to the Town. <br /> To date, over$3,750 is owed to the Selectmen's Office and approximately <br /> PP y <br /> $4,000 is owed to the Police Department for detail services. <br /> Chief Przybylek recommended the Board consider action to compel <br /> immediate payment of fund " <br /> P y s due to the Town. <br /> The recommendation was made by Mr.Whritenour to close the Flea <br /> Market immediately until all sums due to the Town have beenaid in full. <br /> Town Counsel will be requested P <br /> eq ested to institute a demand notice and file for <br /> court action if approved by the Board. <br /> t <br /> It was noted that the Flea Market owes the Selectmen's Office fifteen <br /> weeks of permit fees. With regards to Police detail, Chief Prz b lek <br /> resentedjustification for th r y yP e requirement of one officer for a full day on <br /> Saturdays and Sundays, and the need for a second officer for four hours <br /> midday on Sundays. <br /> Motion made b Selectman Mills to <br /> Y suspend all Flea Market <br /> permits effective immediate) until all outstanding <br /> . y g debt has <br /> been pard to the Town pending Town Counsel's a rovat, <br /> by Selectman Caffyn <br /> Motion seconded pP <br /> . <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Selectman Caffyn recommended to form Policy whereby 1f a permit 15 <br /> not paid within two weeks it shall be terminated immediately. <br /> Y <br /> _ f <br /> Selectman Costa recommended to consider the fullYm a ent of permit <br /> P <br /> fees prior to the operation of the Flea Market with detailm n <br /> a <br /> p y e t to be <br /> paid upon receipt. <br /> Selectman Caffyn recommended to submit the communication as received <br /> from the Chief of Police to the State Department for consideration with <br /> regards to the need for signallzatlon in the area of Donna's Lane. <br />
