The availability of social <br /> . ty <br /> networks is essential for families to enhance child development. <br /> Ms. Romer indicated that information obtained on child development is <br /> obtained both form • • P <br /> ally and informally. All families need parenting groups. <br /> This program is for the whole community and not just high risk families <br /> stated Ms omer.R g <br /> It was noted that 28 families were serviced by the grant attained for the <br /> Parenting Program in the amount of$14,415. <br /> Ms.Pap indicated that legal services are provided to low income famil' <br /> . P les <br /> at risk. Last year, the program provided 139 hours of service to 19 <br /> families. It was noted that the grant attained in the amount of$5,000 <br /> provided for 80 hours of service. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to support the warrant article for Human <br /> PP <br /> Services to be apportioned to the VNA Parenting Account and the Battered <br /> Women's Legal Assistance Account in the amount of$19,415. <br /> ADLQJ2MffiNT.. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Mills to adjourn at 8:05 p.m. <br /> The Board will enter into Executive Session at this time <br /> for the purpose of discussing litigation.
