Page 11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 16, 1995 <br /> NEWD.USTNESS: <br /> Approval of Family and Medical Leave Policy: <br /> y <br /> Correspondence was received from the Personnel Board dated <br /> September 21, 1995 recommending the Board approve the <br /> Family and Medical Leave Policy. <br /> It was noted that Kopelman and Paige has reviewed and approved <br /> policy form. <br /> of the olio to f PP <br /> Mr.Whritenour commended Personnel Administrator,Marilyn Farren <br /> for preparing the comprehensive document. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the <br /> Family and Medical Leave Policy as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. <br /> VQTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Davy's Locker Closing for Season: <br /> Mr..Whritenour indicated that it appears that Davy's Locker has closed <br /> for the season without the Board's approval. The Board of Selectmen as <br /> the licensing authority must schedule a Public Hearing PP to approve any <br /> closure. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Mills to direct the Executive <br /> t e <br /> Secretary to submit communication to the licensee of <br /> Davy's Locker regarding the closure. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> .YO-.YO-TE: 4-1. <br /> Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Costa in opposition. <br /> Letter of Request to Waive Flea Market Fees: <br /> Correspondence was received from Al Wiseman,operator of the Flea <br /> Market dated October 13, 1995 requesting;the Board waive the fees of the <br /> Flea Market for the remainder of the year. <br /> It was noted that Mr.Wiseman anticipates to remain open for three <br /> weeks after Columbus Day, weather permitting. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Mills to reduce the fee to the <br /> sum of on half or $125 for the remainder of the year. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> Motion withdrawn by Selectman Mills. <br /> Second withdrawn by Selectman Caffyn. <br />
