He urged citizens <br /> to contact government officials and participate actively in the process. <br /> Selectman Caffyn, the Board's liaison on the Plume Action Team(PAT) <br /> indicated that she will contact Michael Manor,Project Manager of the <br /> Installation Restoration Program to discuss the plume management and <br /> . P g <br /> clean-up process with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> *Future Agenda item of discussion. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing - Package Store Sunday Openings: <br /> Selectman Vaccaro opened the Public Hearing to determine whether or not <br /> the Town would allow Sunday openings for all package stores for calendar <br /> year 1395;permanently for the life of the license,or not at all. <br /> Dena Rymsha, owner of Liberty Liquors and Bryan Anderson,owner of <br /> Andy's Market were present to discuss the Sunday openings with the <br /> Board of Selectmen and interested public. <br /> Mrs.Rymsha indicated that it is unfair for local business owners to lose the <br /> revenue sales during the two major business holidays. It was noted that <br /> this year, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on Sunday nights. <br /> Mr. Anderson indicated that three years ago, the Board approved the <br /> Sunday openings for all package stores. His employees are able to earn <br /> an additional time and one half during this time. <br /> Current trends allow for the Sunday openings of all stores noted <br /> Mr. Anderson. It is unfair to the public. They expect us to be open <br /> when neighboring towns are open during this time. <br /> Mr. Anderson noted that his employees received training in the area of <br /> alcohol management. (TAM-Techniques in Alcohol Management) <br /> Being no further comment,Selectman Vaccaro closed the Public Hearing. <br />
