The consensus was that the time capsule was a good idea, but it should be handled by the Town, not the library. M. Marsh suggested a possible tea to be held in the Mashpee Library, with a harpist to play 1870 music, to be promoted as, "Cone to Mashpee' s Birthday Party. " Have a Trivia Contest with a prize. This idea was well received. Teri suggested that the Friends would life to see wall-to- wall bookcases, " deep, installed in the library meeting room for use for the boobs for the boosale The next bosaie will be the first Saturday of March. Iv CORRESPONDENCE A. From the Board of Library Commissioners : relative to State Aid to libraries , rules and regulations. Also included in that package were two sheets listing Libraries that did not apply for State Aid last year; the only local library was Dennis. B. A postal card from the Board of Library Commissioners : stating that the long range plan submitted was accepted and that it net the planning r gurements for Fiscal 195/96 . The board of trustees was very pleased to hear that. C. Helene explained that the Statels strategic plan of service has been mentioned from time to time., A ball has finally been filed on that. The bill will be assigned a Rouse Bill Number in late January or early February. There is a fact sheet that was sent out by the State explaining the pian of service. B. A letter from the Taxpaer t s Association including a dona- tion of $25. 00 t the library. V BUSINESS FROM PREVIOUSMEETINGS : A. Fiscal ' 96 Budget: Helene explained that she had submitted the budget with the changes the trustees had recommended, .increasing the hours of the 19-hour our circ lation assistant to 25 hours, and requesting an additional 19-hour position.
