I BOARD of LIBRARY TRUSTEES MARCH 1t 1995 PAGE TWO Helene reported that the library had a new personnel board liaison, Normae Rumin, who is a library patron and is a member of the boot discussion group. Helene felt that she would be an excellent ad- dition from the personnel board. IV CORRESPONDENCE: notice from the Board of Library Commissioners stating that � their February 1995 board meeting, the commis- sioners noted the F ' 97 prorating policy that prorates only the award amounts and noted to eliminate the prorat- ing policy beginning with the FY 198 state aid to public libraries program. Helene explained that the Mashpee Library had always ret their standards, therefore, this did not really apply to Nva hp e. B. The program for the Mass. Library Association annual Con- ference, if any of the trustees had any interest in attend- ing. They will meet in Sturbridge at the Sturbridge Host Hotel, starting Sunday, April 30th, running through Tuesday* V BUSINESS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS FY 196 Budget: Helene explained she had ret with the select- men to discuss the library's requests, Up until that meeting Helene had been under the impression that the selectmen were supportive of the 25-hour position, and would cut the addi- tional 19--hour position* As it turned out, they felt we would be better off with the new 19-hour positions which they have recommended. They would notuP port adding additional hours to the existing 19-hour position. Helene also had a discussion with Denise Sullivan, the Finance commission' s liaison. Demise explained that the Finance commassio had not made up their minds on the bud- get items at this point, but she felt they would probably notu ort an staffing increase because of the high P � school coring on line.
