Week from Monday, Town Meeting. Selectmen would not support <br /> Cathy's increase with benefits. Denise Sullivan did not think <br /> they would approve any new positions. Finance Committee would not <br /> support it either. Denise Sullivan advised that we fight on Torn <br /> Meeting floor. Finance Committee turned down Heating system. Sid <br /> Golub will contact us with their concerns. <br /> We meed to advocate for 26 hours for Cathy and a new circulation oierk. <br /> Write up on #9 is very good, Dick read it to the Board. Pick <br /> was concerned that some Selectmen and Finance Committee members <br /> do no hold a library card. It was pointed out that- ithonfidentially laws <br /> you had to be careful how you use that information. You can use <br /> information ONLY if you do net get the information from us. It was <br /> suggested that Dick ask thein how many of thein use the Library. Toni <br /> asked Dick how he would address any rebuttals at the Taxpayers Forum <br /> on Saturday. it was also discussed that Denise Sullivan does not attend <br /> meetings like the previous members did. Need a representative at the <br /> Saturday meetings as we missed the League of Women Voters forum and <br /> comments were made. Some facts that were suggested that we use: <br /> 1) 0 Volunteers. <br /> 2 Two full time staff (large - 25 fours and Gerta - 35 hours) <br /> 3 One part-time (Cathy - 19 hours). <br /> 4) We need twenty-five more hours to keep Library afloat. <br /> It was suggested that we call everyone we know and be ready with' <br /> figures. Toni will introduce articles and Dick will also speak. <br /> Discussion of the salami requests and the various- recommendations <br /> from Selectmen and finance followed along with the suggestion that <br /> someone bring a calculator for any amendments ment to our articles. <br /> Selectmen only put one out of the three articles in so we could net <br /> fund position until October Town Meeting if it does pass. <br />
