H.' D Foe reported that circulation <br /> for -the month. of Augur t 199.5 -totalled 10-,.4,21 trans- <br /> -actions.. Included in that total were 7 , 763 adult <br /> items and 2,668 j juvenile items. There were 7 , 145 <br /> patron visits to 'the library. During the month, <br /> 118 patrons registered for cards with the library. <br /> Helene passed out a statement -which gave the year- <br /> end figures indicating amount remaining in the <br /> 1995 budget. <br /> B. Friends: M. Marsh extended a wart welcome <br /> to the four members of ,the Friends present. The <br /> tru tee i.ntrodu ed themselves, presented some <br /> personal background information, and explained <br /> the role of the board bf .trustees . <br /> Terri Hyde explained the role of .the Friends. <br /> A question was presented by -Terri Hyde relative <br /> to the recent obituary :of ,Peg Johnston which in- <br /> d i c a to d donations should' - e made to 1.I 1on s <br /> College Scholarship Fund -or to Christ the King <br /> Bui'lding Fund. Terri explained that they were <br /> looking for suggestions from the board relative <br /> to a memorial,* ' Mimi indicated that her feeling <br /> was that Peg Johnston had been in charge of vol- <br /> unteers . She worked very hard and long before <br /> she became ill. , Mimi felt that it would behoove <br /> the library to do something within the library. <br /> Helene indicated that she would possibly be in� <br /> A71 terested in a painting by a local artist to b <br /> hung in the library. <br /> Discussion relative to various local artists <br /> followed. <br />
