Mas ee CommuniftTV -Peter Zawadzki,Station l lana er continues • Hired full-tine Educational Coordinator Shane Kinsman who has stepped into the AV role at.the school. Shane works at the High School in the morning how and at Mashpee TV in the afternoon. He's been doing a great job...students wog honorable mention awarded by Department ent of Transportation. Production at school definitely unproved. Since this is a partnership with the School,they support through the School budget. Peter would like to see stronger program between MTV and the school. • Definitely need improvements on technology side. Old/outdated equipment at the school. They are doing a re-inventory and are cleaning everything up. Some equipment cabling had not been properly maintained. • At beginning of the year they tried to go live with football games but cabling had not been maintained so it could not be done. Looking forward to summer to go in and do clean-up. • MTV is re-tooling and re-spacing to provide a classroom for teaching. • Teamed up with iCape Solutions and classes will be free to the public. Publicizing though Facebook and twitter. Also, W pe will be helpful in publicizing classes. • Small equipment upgrades—getting small camem. They are creating full camera kit out of an Pad. New case for new iPads. • MTV working with the Libr .r hopefully gill teach class at the Library. • Children's Museum–program will be done,in April. • Council on Aging–Nothing clone yet,but may have an opportunity to do some workshop there. • Deter said the main goal is"foot traffic". Purpose is to teach and.train people to go out and do videos. • Andrew.Eliason asked hove the public and government were going to-be includedm' the equation. Peter said if we don't get kids involved then we can't be out getting the community involved. So if we can train students and others to go out and tape events it can thea increase production. • Dan Miley asked if they worked with STEIN site program. He said that is a great platform and source. Peter said they've worked a little with them and Shane has a group that meets at the Nigh School media center so there is definitely going to be a"marriage"with then. • Ilan Riley explained he is-President of Southport Association and they have facility there for MT to come and hold classes, if they wish. Peter responded,"yes",they can even produce and plane on website only if that is needed. • Peter said public access quality is horrible.duie to transmission side. Peter said the thought process is that if you have a window it deters the technician from looking at the monitor. Peter said he has designed control rooms with and without window. IT.Updat s David DelVecchio said that on October 9,2012 MCAT approved funding of$14,100 for replacement of Motorola access points. David said they,did evening except the access wireless card. David was requesting they use the approved funding that is available to replace the Motorola.access points with Aruba access point upgrade. p1� g p Motion: Dan Riley motioned that MCAT-agrees with.the approach for replacement of Motorola access points with Aruna access points upgrade at this time with allocated funds previously approved on October 9,2012.
