Andrew said it was suggested to Amy that she review and revise the slut-down,procedure for the <br /> Control Room. Torn said this is a very <br /> conservative ballpark figure...Mashpee's cost may he significantly less. Andrew Eliason asked what the advantage <br /> to the public would be. David DelVecchio said the ultimate advantage to people on the Cape is this would provide <br />' emergency situation access for Police and Fire Departments. <br /> Toni Mayo commented that if this grows and comes to neighborhoods, it will.provide faster speed to users. As an example, if using wireless device at <br /> Quashnet School and walking through.the facility they need t igen in multiple tithes due to cable issues. David <br /> said some of the costs connected with this backbone upgrade might be for contractor to do some of the physical- <br /> work. There was a lengthy discussion and it was stressed that it should be made clear that for this project this is <br /> one-time MCAT funding of the project only.
