Brian Kerhl of the Enterprise was
also in attendance.
Meeting convened at 5:30 p.m.
Update on Chairman
Patrick Duffy reported that Steven Peters had decided not to move and that he would still
like to continue his involvement with the committee through the"No Place for Hate"
activities. He asked if the committee would be interested in changing their meeting to a
Friday evening or weekend. This would be difficult for both Janice and Marilyn because
of family commitments.
Mashpee Village - Summer Barbegtte
Donna French, resident services coordinator at the Mashpee Village's community action
and housing assistance corporation met with the committee. She will assist the
committee in any way to get the word out about the"No Place for Hate" program, They
will put an article in their newsletter. Donna indicates.that she has worked with Louise
Patrick, Human Services Coordinator. They have an annual barbeque at Mashpee Village
in August where two hundred people attend, It is a community effort where people with
different ethnic backgrounds attend.
