Affirmative Action Committee <br /> Meeting of March 9, 2004 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Acceptance of Minutes of February 10 2004 <br /> Trish Parolski moved to accept the minutes of February 10, 2004, Norma Kumin <br /> seconded the motion. All in favor. <br /> Outreach Employ <br /> The Town's Affirmative Action Officer, Marilyn Farren, advised committee members <br /> that some town employees did not know what the committee did. One employee thought <br /> that the committee helped disabled or handicapped people. Jan Strickland said that is <br /> why the Town needs a"go to"person. Committee members agreed on sending a memo <br /> to employees which highlighted the sections of the Informal and Formal Grievance <br /> Process in the Affirmative Action Plan. <br /> Committee members were reminded that Irene Carrington, Compliance Officer for the <br /> Town of Barnstable, and Bill Cole,Human Resource Director,will be in attendance at <br /> the April meeting. <br /> Trish Parolski suggested checking with the Town of Bourne to see if they have an <br /> Affirmative Action Officer. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 6;10 p.m, <br /> Respectfully submitted: <br /> Marilyn Farren <br /> mf <br />
