19 Board of Selectmen Minutes August 21, 2017 OLD BUSINESS Review and Action on Draft#4 October Town Meeting Warrant: (continued) Article#17: General Bylaw limiting the number of retail marijuana establishments Article#18: General Bylaw adopting a temporary moratorium Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to reverse the order of Article#17 &Article 918 of the October warrant as written. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed, none Article#17: General Bylaw adopting a temporary moratorium To adopt a Bylaw relative to the implementation of a temporary moratorium for a period of two years on the use of land or structures for recreational marijuana establishments and marijuana retailers in the Town of Mashpee. Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to include Article#17 of the October warrant as written. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed,none Article#18: General Bylaw limiting the number of retail marijuana establishments To adopt a Bylaw to limit the number of retail marijuana establishments to less than 20% of the number of liquor licenses in the Town and to authorize a ballot question to ratify/accept the adoption of said Bylaw. Mashpee currently has (9) licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages. Fewer than 20% equals(1)for the Town of Mashpee. Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to include Article#18 of the October warrant as written. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
