School Choice Update <br /> Mrs. DeBoer gave an update on School Choice. <br /> VI. Report of the Business Administrator <br /> *Approval of Current Student Activity Accounts <br /> Mr. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by Ms. Bartlett to approve the current student <br /> activity accounts. <br /> Roll Call Vote: In favor- Ms. Bartlett, Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Gorman and Mr. Santos; <br /> opposed - none; absent- Mr. Myers. <br /> *Approval of Student Activity Account Guidelines and Procedures <br /> Ms. Bartlett made a motion, seconded by Mr. Schmidt to approve the student activity <br /> account guidelines and procedures as presented. <br /> Rall Call Vote: In favor- Ms. Bartlett, Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Gorman and Mr. Santos; <br /> opposed - none; absent - Mr. Myers. <br /> VII. Specifically Assigned/Unfin!shed Business <br /> School Committee Working Groups Updates <br /> The Committee discussed their plans for the working groups going forward. <br /> School Custodians <br /> Mrs. DeBoer spoke about having the school custodians fall under the School <br /> Department. Principals of each school have more input and oversight of the custodians. <br /> *Indigenous Peoples Da (change to FY18-19 School Calendar <br /> Mr. Gorman made a motion, seconded by Ms. Bartlett to approve changing the FY18-19 <br /> calendar to Indigenous Peoples Day. <br /> Roll Call Vote: In favor- Ms. Bartlett, Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Gorman and Mr. Santos; <br /> opposed - none;; absent- Mr. Myers. <br /> School Committee Retreat Self Evaluation and 2018-2019 Goals <br /> Mrs. DeBoer outlined the agenda for the School Committee retreat. <br /> Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Private School Recognition <br /> A decision on the Private School recognition has not been decided as of yet. <br /> School Committee Meeting Times <br /> Mrs. DeBoer suggested holding the future School Committee meetings at 5:30 pm <br /> instead of 6:30 pm. The Committee will bring back at the next meeting. <br /> Vlll.. New Business <br /> Ms. Bartlett would like to put together an informational session to let people know the <br /> roles of the School Committee. <br /> IX. Committee Reports <br /> Mr. Schmidt spoke about the "Drug Story Theater" which was held in Mashpee. <br /> X. Items the Chair did not reasonably know in advance. <br /> 2 <br />
