The Chair reported that he was in receipt of a note of thanks from <br /> Mashpee Commons for 1 lashpee's endorsement of the state grant, and read the letter for the <br /> record. The grant would be awarded during the first week of November, vith development <br /> occurring soon after. Ms. Egloff recommended that future warrants also include an image of <br /> proposed affordable housing for residents to review. <br /> New Comm' ittee Member <br /> Chairman Abbott reported that he had forwarded to the Board of Selectmen the Committee's <br /> recommendation that Michelle Toby be appointed to the Affordable Housing Committee. Ms. <br /> Toby had submitted a letter to the 1305 asking to be reconsidered for the AHC. The BOS <br /> recently accepted Michelle Springer's resignation from the Committee, <br /> Habitat Land visit <br /> Mr. Johnson reported that he and the Chair had met with the Land Acquisition contact for <br /> Habitat for Humanity. The two lots on the warrant orchard Street and Strawberry Lane, were <br /> discussed, as well as other parcels on the list of 1 . The contact ill be meeting with Town <br /> Manager Joyce Mason. Mr. Johnson will follow up regarding the statin of the RFPs. The Chair <br /> pointed out that the lots could not be built by a developer, making them ideal candidates for <br /> Habitat for Humanity, providing affordable housing and added to the tax roll. The Chair <br /> indicated that they also looped at two lots on Cedar Street and one lot on Gina way. Mr. <br /> Johnson stated that they had also met with Town Planner Torn Fudala. ilk-. Johnson indicated <br /> that Habitat had a full building schedule for 2014. <br /> Other Items Requiring Discussion <br /> The Chair referenced the Cape Community Preservation Act Funding by town, which <br /> highlighted the affordable housing as a percent of total revenue. Mashpee was 8.31%, listed <br /> third from the bottom. <br /> The CHAIA Housing brief shoved that $1.4 billion had been awarded over 5 years. <br /> The Cape Cod Commission will be holding a public hearing for Bridges at Mashpee at 10 a.m. <br /> n November 18. The facility will be located on a -acre lot at 463 old Barnstable Road and <br /> will be a -unit proposed assisted fiving/memory care facility. The facility will be 45,000 <br /> square feet and will offer 60 beds in 3 household vfings on a single story. <br /> Ms. Egloff inquired about the number of hits the Affordable Housing website had received and <br /> the Chair indicated that he would follow up v ith the IT Department in order to acquire statistics. <br /> Selectman Richardson indicated that he would follow up regarding the RFPs on the Town <br /> Meeting approved parcels. Selectman Richardson stated that Mchelle Springer's resignation <br /> had been accepted with regret. <br /> MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> The next meeting has been scheduled for December 3, 2013 at 6:30 p.m- <br /> 2 <br />
