r <br /> MINUTES SEPTEMBER 12, 2013 <br /> MASRPEE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT Com TE <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL 2:00 p.me <br /> Present: Robert Wooldridge, Beverly Wooldridge, Charles Mintanis, Michele Brady,, Tricia <br /> Parolski,, Kathleen Moore. <br /> Absent: Carol Sherman <br /> Called to order: The meeting was called to order at 2:07 p.m. by Chairman Robert Wooldridge <br /> Approval of Minutes July 11, 2013 <br /> Motion: Charles 1 aintanis moved to approve the minutes of July 11, 2013, seconded by <br /> Tricia Parols i. vote unanimous. <br /> Discuss Filling Committee vacancies. <br /> Chairman Wooldridge discussed the committee vacancies_ He believed it was advertised and is <br /> also posted on the town's website. He has spoken with the fire and police chiefs requesting that <br /> if they have any suggestions for candidates to please let him know. He has also spoken with the <br /> Chamber of Commerce and the Mashpee Commons Management ent Ogee as well as the Mashpee <br /> Men's Club for any potential candidates. <br /> Mobi flat <br /> Bob noted he asked Gus Frederick Director of the Recreation Department, about how-the Mobi <br /> Mat and the beach chair worked out at John's Pond. The M bi Mat vent down to the water's <br /> edge. They have two beach wheelchairs that a lot of people are using but Gus thought it would <br /> be better if we could work out something at South Cape Beach for newt season. lust year the <br /> mat was laid out at the top of the beach and if anyone wanted to go in the water, they would use <br /> the reach wheelchair. Gus is in favor of trying that again but he needs to talk to Catherine St. <br /> Laurent. Bob will report back to the committee. <br /> Review Ceremony Introducing New BoardwaJk at the Mate Beach at South Cape Beach. <br /> Chairman Wooldridge informed everyone that at the state beach there was a ceremony and <br /> ribbon cutting for the new boardwalk. The boardwalk connects the parking lot with the viewing <br /> platform above the beach. Bob and Bev went to the ceremony in the rain. <br /> Discuss Mashpee Commons Plans for a New Building and Housing Expansion. <br /> Bob Wooldridge informed the members that Mashpee Commons is going to put in a new <br /> building in the parking lot at the intersection of Fountain Street and Market Street. They don't <br /> have any tenants yet. There will be retail space on the bottom floor and on the second floor they <br /> probably will be leased for office space. He spoke to Tom Feronti, the construction manager and <br />
