Mashpee Planning and Construction Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday, October 18, 2018 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall—Ockway Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: Steve Cook, Joe Brait, and Tom O'Neill <br /> Absent: Geoff Gorman <br /> Also Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW <br /> Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Joe Brait motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of September 20, 2018 as written; and <br /> Tom O'Neill seconded the motion. <br /> Vote: 3 Yes; Unanimous. <br /> Stene Cook, yes. Joe Brait, yes. Tom O'Neill,yes. <br /> Old Business <br /> Update on Quashnet School Window/Roof Project <br /> The GC has confirmed all phases will be substantially completed by November 2 except for <br /> punch list items and some minor work including sills and window shades. The punch lists for <br /> Phases 1A, 16, and 2 have been submitted to the GC. The GC is doing their own scope review <br /> of the other phases and will be requesting punch lists over the next month. The GC/plumbing <br /> subcontractor have agreed to a video inspection of 5 bathroom sewer lines initially;these are <br /> locations where walls were moved. <br /> Recommendation for Proposed Change Order <br /> The Selectmen approved Change Order No. 5 but all information was not available in time so it <br /> only included the elimination of the interior door signage and the replacement of the exhaust <br /> fans in the gym. The final CO amount was a net credit of$506.96. <br /> Change Order No. 6 was discussed. There would be a net addition of approximately$1,000 to <br /> the project cost. A final amount for the room darkening glazing in the cafeteria is still pending <br /> but the scope has been reduced to include only the two double hung windows. The change <br /> order includes: <br /> PRO17 Due to field modifications regarding demolition and re-work of existing walls, certain <br /> seismic details shown on the plans are no longer required. The scope eliminates this work, <br /> resulting in a credit. <br /> PRO19 A prior change order replaced the glass in the cafeteria door with a room darkening <br /> glaze, eliminating the need for shades. The Principal liked this change and requested a similar <br />
