School Committee Meeting <br /> October 10,2018 <br /> Minutes <br /> Present were: Chris Santos, Geoff Gorman, George Schmidt, Nicole Bartlett and bon Myers. Also <br /> present was Patty DeBoer, Superintendent, Hope Hanscom,Assistant Superintendent and Skyla Rimple, <br /> Student Liaison. <br /> 5:00 pm Executive Session -To conduct collective bargaining session with Units A, B, C <br /> I. Call Regular Meeting to Order/Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Mr. Santos called regular meeting to order at 5:05 pm. Mr.Schmidt made a motion, seconded <br /> by Mr. Myers to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing the grievance <br /> from Unit A and C. <br /> Roll Call Vote: In favor- Mr. Myers, Mr. Bartlett, Mr. Schmidt and Mr. Santos; opposed - none. <br /> Mr. Gorman recused himself due to conflict of interest. <br /> The Committee returned to the regular meeting at 5:40 pm. <br /> ISI. Public Comment <br /> None <br /> Ill. Report of the Student Representative-Skyla Rimple <br /> Skyla Rimple presented an update on MMHS happenings. <br /> IV. M.A.S.S. Certificate of Academic Excellence- Madison Eagan <br /> Mrs. DeBoer presented Madison Eagan with the Massachusetts School Superintendent's <br /> Certificate of Academic Excellence. <br /> V. Coombs Teacher Alanna Murphy-Sharing details about the contest she won <br /> Postponed until the meeting on October 24, 2018 <br /> VI. Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe -Roxanne Brown <br /> Roxanne Brown, Representative from the Tribe presented an update on recent events. <br /> VII. Update on the Quashnet School Renovation Project- Principal O'Brien <br /> Mrs. O'Brien gave an update on the Quashnet School renovation project. <br /> VIII. *Approval of Minutes of September 12,2018 <br /> Mr. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by Mr. Gorman to approve the minutes of September 12, <br /> 2018. <br /> Roll Call Vote: In favor- Mr. Myers, Ms. Bartlett, Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Gorman and Mr. Santos; <br /> opposed - none. <br /> 1 <br />
