3 Community Preservation Committee Minutes December 10, 2013 APPOINTMENTS TMENTS & HEARINGS: Review&Deliberate on Pr 'ects Proposed sed for the ME 2014 Town M etin (confuiued) Ms. l ommelmeyer in support of the four projects presented to the Committee for the May 2014 Town Meeting indicated the current Fuad Balance of the CPC is $596055,072. It was noted this.figure includes the remainder of the Trust Fuad distribution secured from surplus revenues. With this information,the CPC Committee conducted their review of the projects proposed for the May 2014 Town Meeting. Nancy Soderb r —Mashvee Historical Commission: A,Histor of Mashpee: hpe : $22.,500.. It was noted that a budget of$22,500 is anticipated to print 1500 copies of an updated pictorial history of the Tom.of Mashpee. The boobs are proposed to be sold for$20 each. Funds from the sale of the books are expected to be returned to the designated Town fund. At the last meeting, IVIS. I ommelmeyer indicated that all receipts for the proposed book would be required to be deposited into the Town's General Fund unless p s ecial fund detailed to trach sales is set up by the Town Accountant. After reviewing this matter with the Town Accountant, it was disclosed the recommendation of Ms. Romrmelmeyer to deposit proceeds from the book to the Town's General Fund is accurate. In reviewing additional funding options for this purpose,there is favorable indication that rational Development/Bridges at Mashpee may fully fund the printing of the pictorial history o the Torn o Mashpee. National Development Acquisitions is proposing to construct a memory' care assisted living residence in Mashpee. The project is currently under review by the Cape Cod Commission. As part of the CCC process,the project must comply with economic development criteria-as set forth in the Cape Cod Commission's Regional Policy Plan. As a result a uncial contribution toward the Historical Commission's pictorial booklet project to enhance preservation efforts in the Town may be received as mitigation toward the new development project.
