Community Preservation Committee Minutes December 10, 2013 APPOINTMENTS &HE . I TG Phyllis Littleford-- 104 William Min60 Saddleback Road; 23.6 Acres for QDen Space/Recreation, Historic Preservation and Water Protection 4600,000-1 In May of Zoo , the Torn of Ilaspee Qpen Space Cottee and Water District remitted a letter of interest to Phyllis ti Clef rel in acquiring the 23.6 are parcel for open space, water supply and protection purposes. In Zoo ,the assessed value was $332,600. At that time,the Town of Irlashpee and the mater District made an offer of$400,,000 to purchase the parcel. Ms. Littleford submitted an application to the Community Preservation Committee for CPA finding for the acquisition of the subject property in 2013 for $600,000. The current assessed value is$531,800. The previous assessment was $590,300. At the last meeting, several residents including the Town Planner spoke in support of the land ac sition. The property is sounded by other Land Bank properties, including the Mashpee Wildlife Refuge. Motion made by Ms.Waygan to authorize the expenditure of CFA funding from the operating expense budget of the Community Preservation Fund to appraise the Littleford property identified on Assessors Map 1, Block 6 as required by the LAND grant program formerly known as Self Help,and if necessary to conform to grant requirements,to expend funds for up to(2) appraisals of the subject property.
