Ids. <br /> Laurent states that they have tried to reconfigure the parking but with the cumulative effects, they will net <br /> be able to do that for the upcoming season and will lose the whole front row of parking spaces. Ms. <br /> Laurent is proposing to replace approximately ' of asphalt along the seaward face of the parking lot so <br /> they do not lose those parking spaces. Ms. Laurent states that since 2007, they have lost about 15'-20' <br /> on the ocean side of the beach. The construction would be typical pavement construction inhere they <br /> would remove the asphalt but will leave ghat has collapsed and put in a new base with asphalt on top. <br /> Agent McManus asks if they will be placing any sand after the parking lot is completed. Mr. Clemens is proposing some retaining walls to stabilize the bank <br /> and stairs. Another retaining wall would support the landing for stairs from the second story deck and <br /> also to install a drywell. Mr. Clemens is also requesting authorization for a privacy fence along the <br /> property edge. Mr. Gurnee asks if a French drain would be more efficient than a dryw ll. The agent <br /> suggests additional plantings like a rain garden and Mr. Clemens states that he would rather do rain <br /> garden. The Agent asks Mr. Clemens to mark the rain garden revision on the plans for the record. <br /> Lotion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the project revisions of -2693 as <br /> discussed. <br /> 5) 1ACC recap: Coastal Erosion Workshop — Mr. Gurnee and Agent Manus attended the annual <br /> conference and the agent states that one of the workshops, Coastal Erosion, was very informative with <br /> the latest and traditional methods but the main message for coastal erosion is maintenance because <br /> there is no permanent solution. Mr. Gurnee comments on vista pruning and that there may be some <br /> flexibility to the regulations. Agent Manus states that vista pruning should focus on the resource <br /> area functions. <br /> 6) Tidewat h Nourishment hr ent—Agent McManus states that he has sent out Tara h arden's report and would <br /> like to establish a dame to proceed with the decision of Tidewatch's beach nourishment. <br /> 7) DEP Regulatory Changes (310 CIVIR 19.00)— DEP will have a public comment period at Cape Cod <br /> Community College and the Agent says he will post the date and time. <br /> Agent McManus requests a roll call vote to add a discussion of the Bayswater extension request to the <br /> agenda. All Board members present vote unanimously to add the item to the agenda. <br /> Bayswater New Sabury is asking for a 39 day extension of the time permitted for them to submit a plan and <br /> narrative of removing the boulders and installing spacers.
