Dori Monroe from Coastal Engineering <br /> Consultants and Sergu i Alle Tidew tch resident) also commented on the nourishment <br /> that has taken place and that will continue to tale place on an annual basis as per the <br /> orders of conditions. The Agent informed Mr. .Mo r e and Mr. Aliev that the COC <br /> permit will be signed by the commissioners this evening. <br /> 6:30 p.m. Town of Mashpee, 500 Great oak Road. Proposed shorefront protection <br /> on South Cape Beach, lI - <br /> Resource Area.: Barrier Beach . SUS <br /> Materials 'Pres - ted: South Cape Beach <br /> Roger from Coastal Engineering made the presentation. He explained they were <br /> proposing to use biodegradable Coir envelopes (biodegradable bags filled with sand) to <br /> create a coastal dune along the erre of the existing parking lot. The purpose of the <br /> project is to protect the parking lot from storm damage. The parkingstalls have been <br /> shortened by erosion from 15 to 10 feet. They were also proposing to install a drift fence. <br /> handicap ramp would be incorporated as well as an open area for emergency vehicle <br /> access. The area will require maintenance once the project is completed but to do <br /> nothing is a possible loss to the area. Agent McManus noted they are awaiting a letter of <br /> determination from Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program to identify any rare <br /> species habitat. The Agent stated that the permit will not be issued until the letter is <br /> 5 <br /> a <br />
