Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of October 9, 2014 <br /> Public Hearings <br /> aspee Torn Hall <br /> Waquit Meeting Room <br /> COMMISSIONERS P ESE{ T: John Fitzsimmons, Bud shag, Brad Sweet, Mark <br /> Gurnee, Dale McKay and Robert Andersen. <br /> STAFF PRESENT:T: Drew Manu (Conservation Agent) and Judy Daigneault <br /> (Recording secretary). <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER: 5:55 p.m. <br /> The meeting was called to order with a quorum by Chairman John Fitzsimmons at 5:55 <br /> P.M. <br /> There was no public comment. <br /> PREIP ST HEARING AGENDA: <br /> Approval of Minutes. September 11, 2014. <br /> Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to approve the minutes of September 11, 2014, seconded <br /> by Mr. Shaw. vote unanimous. 6-0. <br /> Request for Administrative'Approval/SE 43-2753: 81 seeonsett Point load —minor <br /> modifications to bulkhead. Mark Burtis, Little Rivijr Boat Yard. <br /> Mark Burtis explained that the Commission has already approved this wall and he was <br /> proposing to improve it by making it a Navy wall. It is currently a freestanding wall. He <br /> said the modifications would make it more structurally sound arnd the engineer has <br /> approved it. The footprint has not been altered. The Agent stated this is miner change <br /> to make it more secure and recommended an approval of the Administrative Request. <br /> .k <br /> Motion: Mr. Shaun moved to approve the Administrative Request, seconded by Mr. <br /> Sweet. vote un nirnou -0. <br /> equ st'for Administrative Approval/sE 43-2759: 72 Spoondrift Way—relocate pool <br /> pumps. Jennifer Maliia, Landscape Architect. <br /> Jennifer Il lilac was requesting an Administrative Approval for a project under construction <br /> that was previously approved by the Commissioners. -She stated that the Architect asked <br /> if the pumps. an be moved to a spot just behind the retaining wall. The Agent stated they <br /> carne up with an area that was part of the mitigation plantings: There is room on the other <br /> side of the pool where. the mitigation plantings were proposed to. be.- There is an <br /> opportunity to.move the mitigation plantings to another area of the site closer to the buffer <br /> zone. The Agent recommended approval of the Administrative Request. It was noted that <br /> the change of the mitigation plantings shall be noted in the narrative. <br />
