Resource Area: Coastal Bank, LLW,Buffer Zone to Coastal Bank <br /> f <br /> Mr. Chang was representing the applicants and clarified the application should reflect <br /> James and Jeanne Syliigardo . Ike described the work consists of an addition to ars existing <br /> single family residence with a screen porch to be added, removal of trees that pose a safety <br /> concem to the residence, the establishment of a single view corridor,- maintenance of <br /> existing railroad tie steps from the edge of the bank to water. Each timber will be removed <br /> and replaced by hand to mi ' i e any adverse impacts upon the bank and the construction <br /> of a Moat on Fells Pond. The harbormaster commented concrete anchor or Styrofoam <br /> cannot be used. <br /> The Agent showed photos to illustrate the project. He noted the two rotted trees which are <br /> in close proximity to the house. The owners met with Davey Tree Service to loop at the <br /> trees which are diseased arra weakened. The Agent said he would be making some <br /> suggestions on,the plantings. vista pruning will follow all vista pruning regulations and <br /> this was explained and the other cutting protocols will be part of the order. The Agent will � <br /> meet with the property owner or engineer or contractor who is doing the work for the first <br /> two years. After that e perpetuity clause starts which requires notification to the <br /> conservation commission as to when the pruning will take place. Upon receiving notice tht <br /> work will begin, the Agent will conduct an inspection. Matthew was representing the applicants and explained the project is to remove <br /> the front-door landing and replace it with a foyer and to build a deep onto the rear of the <br /> house. A portion of the deck is in the50-foot setback restriction and they are proposing to <br /> instar approximately 30 feet of nature beach, grass as mitigation. The Agent explained this <br /> is the same property they approved for a complete teardown and re Uild with a deep <br /> similar to the one being proposed. That project was closed and issued but that project is <br /> not going to take place. He reviewed the areas where the foyer and deck is going. The <br /> Agent noied the existing turf going to the top of the coastal bank which is armored leading <br /> to vaquoit Bay which is ACC area. He referenced the photo where the grass i being <br /> proposed. The Agent stated there will be no adverse effect to the coastal and and <br /> re ornnnended a negative determination. <br /> No Public Comment. <br />
