Mr. Turner <br /> left the meeting. <br /> TR ASUREIV S REPOT <br /> Director wat erran distributed the Treasurer's report as of the end of August. She <br /> discussed the energy lire item and how they expect an increase in energy costs. Cape <br /> Light Compact will be coming into the center to do an energy assessment. <br /> OUTREACH COORDE'14ATOW S REPORT <br /> Darlene Perkins, outreach Coordinator, distributed her report for September. She <br /> discussed her home visits and her office visits. She also spoke about the Big Fix <br /> program- 12 homes were chosen for repairs and 10 were seniors. Lynne and Darlene <br /> participated and several volunteers from Council on Aging staff also participated. She <br /> said it was a fantastic conunnit r situation with.325 volunteers. Director Waterman <br /> anted to mention Bob Morton who drove the vehicle and thanks to Darlene who did a <br /> lot with the clients. Darlene also met with the police department and had her monthly <br /> meeting with the volunteers. She also has been meeting with the Director and the van <br /> drivers on building the ridership. Darlene noted some of the other meetings she attended, <br /> Hoarding Task Force, Elder Services, outreach Coordinator's monthly meeting. <br /> Darlene shared her first Brown Bag experience. Bob Morton drove the van to pick up the <br /> goods and granted to thank him. Virginia McIntyre and Jeanne l o ssee were great in <br /> helping with the effort. Where were 17 participants. <br /> Darlene also shared that she attended the Mass Council on Aging Conference and <br /> distributed the power point slides they presented. <br /> VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR REPORT <br /> Director Waterman distributed the volunteer Coordinator report and reviewed the report <br /> with the council members. She highlighted the new volunteers and the review of the <br /> volunteer list, and the flu clinic to be held at the Christ.the King on October 21. <br /> ACTIVE COORDINATOR REPORT <br /> Di rector Watennan di stributed the Activity Coordinator report. Chri stine is planning <br /> weight control program with the VNA and tips from the Golf Pro. The Genesis luncheon <br /> C <br /> was well attended with 75 participants and a Mashpee Housing Authority offered a <br /> program on September 27 and answered questions regarding housing and applications_ <br /> Meeting adjourned 10:00 a.m. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br />
