a <br /> The Director attended several meetings: Mashpee Cultural Council, Department Head, <br /> Human Services Committee, and Parkinson's Support Network. She also met with staff <br /> from the-District Attorney's office to discuss their community service program. She also <br /> met with the President of Capers to discuss the holiday gift delivery and with the Hunan <br /> Service Director and staff from the visiting Nurs Association to discuss the town <br /> contract and she also participated in a telephone inter-view to assist the Falmouth Council <br /> on Aging's process to obtain a new senior center. Her upcoming goals are to continue <br /> working with the new office assistant to revamp the newsletter and to prepare the annual <br /> budget. <br /> Motion: Jack Jordan moved to accept the Director's report, seconded by Neck <br /> Dorsey. vote unanimous. <br /> TR AS R R"S REPORT <br /> Director Waterman distributed the Treasurer's report. She reviewed the budget and noted <br /> the energy costs are expected to be significantly higher. <br /> Motion: Jack Jordan moved to accept the Treasurer's Report, seconded by Jean <br /> Toussee. 'ante unanimous. <br /> OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REFORT <br /> Darlene Perkins, Outreach Coordinator, distributed her report for October_ She noted she <br /> attended the MCOA Conference in Sturbridge. The conference was well attended by <br /> other senior centers. She noted she attended workshops on issues that we are facing in <br /> our community and learning how other senior centers are working towards the same <br /> goals. Darlene noted she attended workshops on mental illness, hoarding, Medicare, <br /> health, and competence/guardianship. <br /> Darlene reviewed her home visits as well as numerous client contacts by telephone and <br /> visits in the mice. She reviewed the Brown Bag program and stated 20 seniors <br /> participated this month. She also attended an Emergency Preparedness presentation <br /> looking for information'to share with our residence before winter is in full sing. She i <br /> looking to have the American lied Cross do a presentation at the senior center on this <br /> issue. Darlene will be including info 'in the December newsletter on emergency <br /> preparedness.
