r <br /> c <br /> COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> DECEMBER 11,2013 - <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members Irving Goldberg, Virginia McIntyre, Jack Jordan, <br /> Jack Dorsey, Marro Lorne , Mary Gaffney, Jean Noussee, and Lyrae Waterman., <br /> Council on Aging Director, and Darlene Perkins, outreach Coordinator <br /> Absent: Nora McCormick <br /> Chairman Irving Goldberg opened the meeting at 8-35 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL of MINUTES—November 13, 2013 <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the minutes of November 13, 2013, seconded <br /> by Virginia McIntyre. vote unanimous <br /> No Public Comments <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> IREC' 'oR"S REPORT <br /> Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month ofl November. She <br /> highlighted her meeting with the Activity Coordinator and representatives from the <br /> Mashpee National wildlife Refuge to plan future programs and a meeting with a <br /> volunteer to plan a program on IPad . She noted she spent much of her time on the <br /> Senior Property Tax Word. off Program reviewing applications and,fob descriptions. <br /> Letters will be seat letting them know they were accepted. She thanked Virginia <br /> McIntyre and Jack Jordan for their help. <br /> Director Waterman reported there were no issues with the van. The annual testing of the <br /> fire sprinkler system and inspection of the fire extinguishers tools place. She thanked the <br /> DPW workers who replaced some of the ceiling tiles in the multi-purpose room and <br /> replaced lights in the lobby. <br /> She announced that the part time morning receptionist tendered her resignation effective <br /> December 12 and that the position has been posted by the Town. <br /> Director Waterman also met with the volunteer who is updating the Policy and Procedure <br /> Manual and also with several volunteer leaders to review the updated Behavioral Policy. <br /> Lynne reviewed several meetings she attended. She met with the outreach Coordinator, <br /> Principal Clerk and volunteers from the AARP Tax Preparation Program. They will be <br /> joining us for the tax season. Appointments will not be accepted until mid January. They <br /> will not be taking individual appointments with a particular tax preparer. <br />
