COUNC11L ON AGING MINUTES <br /> AUGUST 13, 2014 <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members Irving Goldberg, Jack Jordan, Virginia McIntyre, <br /> Mary Gaffney, Jean Nousee, Tar%o Dorney, Jack lorsey,Cuncil on Aging director <br /> Lynne Waterman and Outreach Coordinator Darlene Perkins. <br /> Also Present: Ernest Cornellsen <br /> Chairman Irving Goldberg opened the meeting at 8:34 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL 'BUTES - July 9, 2014 <br /> Motion: Jack Jordan moved to approve the minutes of July 9, 2014, seconded b <br /> Jeanne Nnussee. vote unanimous <br /> Public Comments <br /> None <br /> COMAWNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> D CTOR"S PORT <br /> Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month of July. The Direiptor <br /> noted that she and the Outreach Coordinator met with staff from a local rehabilitation <br /> facility.to plan a future program on short tern rehabilitation and the discharge process. <br /> Lynne also stated the 'ice cream social was a success and the one room schoolhouse <br /> presentation and the summer luncheon held in July was very well attended. <br /> Director Waterman thanked the DPW who replaced the rotors and pads on the front <br /> brakes and replaced the rear brake pads on the van. The Director said she spoke with the <br /> OC TA regarding the van lease which ends in January and they were informed that the <br /> CCRTA is extending the: life of the lease. <br /> The Director also noted the semi-annual inspection of the fire suppression system was <br /> conducted and work has begun to establish card access to the-main front door and outside <br /> dor'n the nutrition site. The Director is also arranging for blinds to be hung 'in the Art <br /> and Crafts room in order to make better use of the space for programrning Doses. The <br /> Friends have generously agreed to pay for the blinds and Lynne thanked them for their <br /> generosity. <br /> The Director reviewed the meetings she attended: She rut with the Human Services <br /> Director to request two neer programs from the VNA contract for the upcoming year <br /> which began July f. The Director also met with the Libre Director to discuss computer <br />
