Lynne has also <br /> been meeting with Jing Long in preparation of his retirement in January. <br /> Motion: Virginia McIntyre moved to accept the outreach Coordinator's Report, <br /> seconded by Jeanne Noussee. vote unanimous. <br /> . volunteer Assistant deport <br /> Lynne reviewed Judith Gengc's Volunteer Assistant Deport. There were no new <br /> volunteers for the month. At this time we .have 223 volunteers. The recruiting of <br /> volunteer drivers continue. They are in need of additional coverage at the front. desk. <br /> The holiday delivery was a success. The plans for January include interviews for new <br /> volunteers. <br /> Lynne announced that the nomination for our tearn of volunteers for the Local officials <br /> Human Services Council LoHSC Commendation Award were not selected for the <br /> award. She read the letter received from the Lo SC stating this, Mary Gaffney <br /> suggested inserting parts of the letter in the newsletter and Lynne stated she was also <br /> thinking of doing something at the volunteers bunch. <br /> Potion: Jack Dorsey moved to accept the volunteer Assistant's Report, seconded <br /> by Jack Jordan, vote was unanimous. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Irving asked about the new furniture. Jim said that the fabric that was chosen was not <br /> available so they are gaiting on new fabric choices. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Protective Services <br /> Jean said Protective Services has called the Senior Center to request that the senoior center <br /> provide their site for meeting with their clients as a neural site. There are some <br /> concerns so they approached vire suggested approaching the library and the library is <br /> agreeable to this. There are also some safety concerns. <br /> Motion: Following a discussion, Jack Jordan moved that the Council on Aging <br /> members are not agreeable to have the Senior Center to be the site for Protective <br /> Services. Seconded by Jeanne Noussee. vote was unanimous. <br />
