The AAA bond rating will provide M shpee with preferential interest rates down the road. <br /> REVIEW IEW of MINUTES —January , 2014. <br /> After one edit to the minutes* Theresa Cook made ar motion that the minutes of the Finance <br /> Committee meeting held on January g, 2014 be approved. Chas Allis seconded the motion. The <br /> motion was unanimously approved. <br /> NEW 11 BUSII ESS <br /> • Fincorn committee Liaison Budget !!Meeting Reports <br /> Schools: Theresa cool[. Ids. cook stated that although she usually feels there is room to trim <br /> any budget, the Scho l Department has presented a responsible budget. The 1.84% budget <br /> increase request included ratification of some contracts and increases in fixed costs. The <br /> retirement line item was very big, including all three schools. Ms. Cook recommended that the <br /> retirement item be separated out for each of the three schools. Terrie cook also described a <br /> proposal that will go to the Capitan Improvement Committee to purchase a 15-passenger van rather <br /> than continue to rent a van, in ars effort to reduce the cost of the use of the vehicle. The school will <br /> continue their quarterly meetings with Mark Da�vini f=in-cora) and Ms. cook (Fin-Com), Town <br /> Manager Joyce Mason, Assistant Town Manager Tom Mayo, Selectman Mike Richardson, <br /> Selectman Wayne Taylor, School Committee Chairman Scott McGee, and school Committee <br /> rnerer Don !Myers. <br /> L r ry: Theresa Cook. I ls.cook reported that the Library budget had followed the Town <br /> Manager's directive to adhere to a level budget request.
