MOHENRY � <br /> JERRY, MONAGHAN <br /> RE MURPHY <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT : RENEE FUDALA (excused) <br /> II MINUTE.S OF PREVIOUS ME T IN : , <br /> Minutes of February 29 , 2000 were accepted as presented . <br /> Minutes of September 28 , 1999 were accepted as presented , � <br /> III DISCUSSION OF ISSUE OF HUNTING ON SOUTH CAPE BEACH 19.99-2000 <br /> HUNTING SEA-SON : <br /> The chairman welcomed the hunters and sportsmen present, <br /> Mr . Iirsnr explained that the issue of hunting ' was on the <br /> agenda , whether or not it should be recommended , based upon <br /> the issue of the safe-ty of the public using the area . Hunting <br /> is not a . permitted use under the Agreement , therefore, the <br /> advisory committee is obliged to hold a meeting every year re- <br /> lative to the safety issue* However, it is net a prohibited use <br /> accor8ing t.o the by-laws . <br /> The chairman asked to hear from proponents of c.ofttinued hunting <br /> on South Cape Beach. <br /> Roland Bel iveau,, representative from the . Falmouth Sportsmen' s <br /> Club , suggested that huntin-g be continued as in the past . <br /> Chuckle Green representing the Wampanoag Tribe stated they <br /> wound like 'to see the practice of hunting continued . He ex <br /> plained that -hunting a. . cult-urally signif icant to the tribe. <br /> He saw no valid reason to discontinge the practice of hunting <br /> Mike Perkins , president of the Falmouth Ro-d and Gun Club : <br /> He - stated that there h.ad been no problems that they were aware <br /> of recently. He requested that -hunting on South Cape Beach be <br /> continued . <br />
