MIAEL CARDEIR01, APPLICANT <br /> IT MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING; <br /> Correction of Minutes of June 20 , µ; Bill Martiros. was. <br /> present at th.e meeting of June 20, 20,00 , however , he was <br /> not listed among those present . <br /> II I Chairman Kfisner explained that Rep . Nancy.c.y of fy had made <br /> a tremendous effort to set up a meeting of the committee <br /> with Senator Ra se enba-e . The meeting was scheduled ,, <br /> Then, Morris received a call to the effect that regrettably � <br /> th-e meeting had to be postponed . Senator Raus henbac.h had <br /> resigned his position as senator. <br /> Mr. I irsner further explained that we were an advisory com- <br /> mittee only. We were not ars enforcement agency. Morris <br /> suggested what he felt should be dome, under the provisions <br /> of the Agreement , Paragraph 17 , the Department ent of Environ- <br /> mental Management was obliged to initiate and pursue further <br /> legislation in order for the Town to acquire the ten acre site . <br /> That is specifically stated in the Agreement . <br /> Mr, Kir ner rade a recommendation that the -committee authorize <br /> him to write a letter to the Board of Selectmen, suggest that <br /> they call a meeting and write a letter. Mr. -Iirsner added that <br /> he would assist the board of selectmen to prepare the letter <br /> if they felt that they needed help in consideration of Morris.' <br /> familiarity with the Agreement , and direct it to Commissioner <br /> Webber, and have it go forward . <br /> Rep . Caffyn stated that she felt Chm. Rirsner was absolutely <br /> correct , She felt that this issue should go before the board . <br /> In this manner, they would receive some publicity . N. Caffyn <br /> also suggested Town Counsel should preview Mr . Iirner ' s in- <br /> terpretation to establish whether his interpretation was correct . <br />
