Town of Mashpe.e. <br /> s� ���+�' ICi(rr-r-rrt:�lrrr.�`l�r.�ucl,.,lvr•1!� <br /> ."MIX Mashjxv,Massachusolls 02640. <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION FOR A WRITTEN FINDING <br /> FINDING-2018-52 <br /> Jane Simpson Bk. #: 16337 <br /> 7 Ships Lantern Drive Pg. #: 162 <br /> (Map 69 Parcel 51) <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> A Petition was filed on October 9, 2018 by Owner, Jane Simpson requesting a <br /> Written Finding under§174-17 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for construction of a family <br /> room, office, and three-season room on property located in an R-3 Zoning District, at 7 <br /> Ships Lantern Drive, (Map 69 Parcel 51), Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 19, 2018 and October 26, 2018 a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpec Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, <br /> Board Members, Ron Bonvie, Norman J. Gould, and Associate Members, Brad Pittsley <br /> and Sharon Sangeleer. Also present was Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §6 and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Ms. Jane Simpson, the homeowner represented herself for the proposed project. <br /> She is requesting permission to add a family room, office space, and renovate an existing <br /> porch for a three season room. The plot plan depicted a 5 ft. porch in the front that will also <br /> be added that will have stairs. The sheds were removed. <br /> Mr. Mendoza said that the property conforms on the rear and side setbacks as he <br /> mentioned in his comments. The issue is, if the proposal is making this structure more non- <br /> conforming. <br /> Sharon read the Inspection Department, Conservation, and Board of Health <br /> comments into the record. Mr. Furbush read the Board of Health comments into the record <br /> regarding the sono tubes, and the six-foot opening that was addressed to the applicant. <br /> There were no more comments from the Board or the audience. <br /> 1 <br />
