Sign Expense Warrants. The Board mem-bers signed the expense warrr nt. <br /> i <br /> . Review/Approve B H Public session Minutes: August 28, 2013. <br /> Approval of the Board of Health August 28, 2013, Public Session minutes wa continued until the next <br /> Board of Health meeting with a full Board in attendance. ; <br /> . Request for ar Grease Trap Variance: Jonathan Piers, Sandcastle Baking Co—470 Main Street. <br /> Jonathan Piers of Sandcastle Barking C ., introduced himself to the Burd. <br /> Mr. Piers commented that he'arnd his wife would like to expand their current business and are pr posing <br /> a wholesale bakery at 470 Main Street. Mr. Piers is requesting a variance to install a grease trap under <br /> the sink rather than an in-ground grease trap that is attached to the septic system. <br /> Mr. Piers stated that this is a baking company with scone dough as the primary product. The mixing <br /> bowls and paddles that are used to produce the dough are cleaned once or twice e daily. The score dough <br /> is wrapped and then frozen. <br /> Glen Harrington commented that the requirement is a 1,000 gallon tank in the ground. An in ground <br /> grease trap is used to protect the septic system, the owner and the environment. -"The Big Dipper' Pent <br /> Source Automatic Grease Removal System is ars alternative grease-trap that works well. "The Big <br /> Dipper" is a neater and easier process. All of the grease is liquefied and collected into a container under <br /> the sink . <br /> Bill Hulbig, owner of Mashpe 130 Shops, introduced himself to the Burd. Mr. Hulbig stated that his <br /> contractor advised him that in addition to installing the grease trap, it will require removing the walkways <br /> and also part of the parking lot. 5 <br /> Luer Burton stated that the Board does not like to set precedent. It was set when the Burd allowed the <br /> use of"The Big Dipper' for Subway and The Tea Bh ppe, and nothing less than that would be approved. <br /> Ms. Burton is willing to grant the variance to Sandcastle Baking Company with some conditions. <br /> Burton replan crude a motion that the Burd of Health approve the grease trap variance with the <br /> following conditions: <br /> 1 <br /> k <br />
