9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 19, 201 S <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of Convening all Regulatory Boards about Goals and Obiectives for the Future of <br /> Mashpee Commons: <br /> The Board of Selectmen discussed the matter of convening with Town regulatory boards to <br /> exchange ideas and to review goals and objectives for the future of Mashpee Commons. Town <br /> Manager Rodney C. Collins was directed to mare a recommendation to the Board at the next <br /> meeting regarding a proposed schedule of dates for the meetings and the staff members under the <br /> Town Manager's guidance who would attend the special meetings. <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Community Preservation Committee: At their last meeting, the CPC voted to extend the <br /> deadline of the application process for the May 2019 Special Town Meeting to Friday, <br /> November 30, 201 S. <br /> Joint Base C4pe.Cod: At a recent JBCC meeting, there was discussion regarding the installation <br /> of a new firing range which may become available in the future for police and fire training. <br /> Assembly of Delegates: At the last meeting, the Human Services presentation made note of <br /> several drug awareness programs and the need to be aware of the abuse of this problem on Cape <br /> Cod. <br /> Holiday Lighting: The annual Holiday Lighting ceremony will begin on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in <br /> Mashpee Commons at Siena. This event will co-inside with the lighting of the Mashpee Rotary. <br /> Santa is expected to be present for the festivities. <br /> Veteran's Day Ceremon. The Board of Selectmen expressed appreciation to all Veterans for <br /> their service and to the Recreation Department and to those who participated in the successful <br /> Veteran's Day Ceremony. <br />
