Prior to finalizing the Refuse Regulation,, Mr. Harrington will submit the draft regulation to the trash haulers for <br /> comment and then.present it to the Board at a Public Hearing for approval at the next scheduled meeting on <br /> November 6, 2014. <br /> t alli pe Egl ff suggested renaming the Defuse Regulation to the Solid Waste Regulation since it is the general <br /> tern for garbage', off=al, or other offensive substances. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> Follow-Up List. <br /> Burton Kaplan has provided the Board with an Old Business Follow-up list including 17 Ships Wheel Drive, 394 <br /> Ctuit Fad, and 17C Summered. 71 Mnrny Fad has been removed from the list as the septic <br /> system has been installed. <br /> Mr. Kaplan questioned whether the property at 5 Cross Street has been razed. Glen Harrington believes the <br /> house has been demolished but will confirm it for the Board. <br /> Luer Burton requested an update for 87 Lighthouse Lane. Mr. Harrington remarked that he has been to the <br /> property several times. The septic system is not overflowing and therefore not a hazard. The owners of 87 <br /> Lighthouse Lane were to provide contractors and bids to the Health Department. However, the information has <br /> not been received. <br /> Glen Harrington informed the Board members that the owner of 394 C twit Road will be notified to appear <br /> before the Burd at the next scheduled meeting on November 6, 2014. <br /> Ms. Burton questioned the outcome of 17 Ships Wheel Drive. Mr. Harrington stated that the dwellers f the <br /> recreational vehicle have until the-end of October to vacate the premises. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> 1. FY 2016 Budget. <br /> Glen Harrington commented that VeronicaWarden's contract states that since she is the Assistant Health <br /> Agent and considered non-exempt she is to be paid time-'and a half for work over 40 hours. Mr. Harrington will <br /> also be entitled to compensation time for more than 40 hours work. These will be budgeted for nett year. <br /> . FY 2016 Capital Improvement Program. <br /> Glen Harrington remarked that the Capital Improvement Program is for an item over$25,999. The Burd of <br /> Health's only request is for a portion of the landfill perimeter berm that needs to be re-loaned and seeded <br /> because of erosion. If the total amount is below $25,000, then this will not need to be presented to the Capital <br /> Improvement Program Committee. <br /> . 2014 Flu and Pneumonia Clinic. <br /> The annual flu and pneumonia clinic will be held at Christ The Ding Church on Monday, October 2 , 2014, from <br /> 9 AM until 12 Noon.n. Glen Harrington commented that there will possibly be a second flu clinic to be held in the <br /> evening for those that are unable to attend the morning session. <br /> 4. GPS Funding Unit. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that this unit is a GPS data logger for locating points out in the field by satellite. The <br /> current unit takes 4 to 5 minutes to locate a satellite. At the last meeting the Board was grilling to offer some <br /> money towards the purchase of a new GPS Data Logger. However, if other departments are planning to use <br /> the device for their own purpose, then the cost should be shared by all. The Burd requested that a written <br /> program be submitted for the Health Department's specific use for Title V applications. <br /> . MMR Well Project. <br /> Glen Harrington commented that the Health Department Was contacted by Doug Larson from Joint Base Cape <br /> Cod. Mr. Carson informed Mr. Harrington that additional well studies are taking place for emerging <br /> 2 <br />
