Gail Wilson stated that St. Vincent DePaul will assist in emergency <br /> situations and will accept referrals from the Human Services Department. <br /> Short Tera Goals <br /> • Volunteer Office Assistance to Gail Wilson <br /> n <br /> The consensus of the committee was that volunteer office assistance to Gail Veils n was a top <br /> priority. There is ars organization that meets at the llashpee library on Tuesday afternoons that <br /> offers volunteer services to community organizations. Gail Wilson will explore this lead for possible <br /> volunteer help. Elinor Glener volunteered her services one day a week to assist Gail Wilson with <br /> administrative tasks. Fruth Elias also volunteered to work on this subcommittee. Mary Scanlan <br /> stated that a job description would be needed for any other volunteer candidates. <br /> • Community Outreach—Increase Visibility.ibility. Lynne Waterman an i interested in getting <br /> involved in working on this subcommittee. Janie Walford volunteered to work together with Ms. <br /> Waterman. <br /> 0 Finance & Contract Administration— Elinor Glener, pilary Scanlan, and Kathy M hler- <br /> Faria will work n this subcommittee. Janice Walford emphasized the importance of reviewing all <br /> the contracts in order to provide more assistance to the Falmouth Service Center. It is urgent that <br /> lashpee increase support to the Falmouth Service Center in order to avoid their elimination of <br /> support to Mashpee residents. <br /> 1= d Pantry Drives <br /> Gail Wilson thanked veronica Warden and Glen Harrington for their invaluable assistance in picking <br /> up the food donations from both food drives, storing, and nett day distributing to the three locations: <br /> I lashpee village, St. Vincent DePaul, and the Falmouth service Center. lips. Wilson thanked Mary <br /> Scanlan for her presence at the Town Meeting Food Pantry Drive table. Diary Scanlan <br /> recommended that the Falmouth service Center be alerted immediately that Mashpee Human <br /> Services is planning to increase their support to Falmouth Service Center. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> Mary Scanlan made a motion that: due to the fact that the committee is in the beginning <br /> stages of response to the to the Needs Assessment Report,rt, the current officers' positions be <br /> preserved for the conning year. Janice Walford seconded the motion. The motion was <br /> unanimously approved. <br /> • Kathy Mohler Faria moved that the committee approve the donation of a refrigerator and <br /> microwave to the Human services Committee office.
