Janice Walford seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously <br /> approved. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> • Ray Tamasi, Chairman & CEO, G snold on Cape Cod <br /> Fruth Elias welcomed Ray Tamasi to the Human services Committee meeting, and thanked hire for <br /> corning. The committee members introduced themselves to Mr. Tamasi. <br /> Mr. Tamasi expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to inform the commiftee about what <br /> G sn ld is doing, to learn more about what this committee sees as the pressing issues in Mashpee, <br /> and to learn how Gsnld might be able to help. <br /> Mr. Tamasi proceeded to summarize what G sn ld does, placed in the context of the G sn ld <br /> philosophy of low they approach care for conditions of mental or emotional disorders, admissions of <br /> addiction or substance abuse. Mr. Tarnasi stated that these conditions are viewed as chronic <br /> conditions that individuals will be dealing with during their entire lifetime; thus the range of services <br /> offered is designed with that in mind. <br /> Gosn ld programs offered include the following: Acute care (equivalent to hospital care); short tern <br /> rehab programs; extended care programs; special program for pregnant Hours and Moms <br /> postpartum that could be in the program for 1 year or more; partial hospitalization program <br /> (extended day program -4 PIV); outpatient 3-hour day program & evening program; and a range of <br /> traditional out patient services.
