{ Title v11 Indian Education Parent Committee of the Mashpee PublicSchools Minutes of Parent Committee Meeting April 1 ,2012 The meeting was convened at 6:13. In attendance were Allyson Po knett, Kristine Foster Celina . Su � Gonzalez, I�r v�e�r , Suzette Spinola, and Morgan Peters. Also present was school staff Deb Goulart, school Committee representative Kathy Stanley, and Title VII program Eleanor � 1 rart� staff Shan' Turner and eanor Jaclson. The meeting was called to order by Allyson Pooknett Chairperson. rp on. 1. Unanimous approval of Minutes for March 131, 2012. A notion to accept the minutes was made by Allyson Focknett, and seconded by Celina Gonzalez.. 2. Allyson Po l nett nominated Kendall Scott as a stud • en representative. � , � � �s lI� t� grade and her activities include participating in youth council . w it 1 g ' and tutoring. � vXe�ra seconded the nomination and It eras unanimously approved, Liz vieira nominated Lishell Mathis who is also a freshman. She tutors, runs Inter i track and s a cheerleader. She also volunteers at the Noah Shelter and tutors. Lishell has a 3.9 GFA. Allyson Po knett seconded the nomination and Lishell was unanimously approved. It was decided that since there were two students interested the Committee would allow them both voting rights as part of the Committee. . Report from Title VII Coordinator—notp resent.at this time . List of Meeting Dates reviewed and confirmed 5. Grant FY 13—Discussion regarding the areas that grant money is utilized, including dropout prevention, attendance, reading, and other. The students stated that ` study skills and organization are also necessary for man students. It was agreed that these interventions should begin at the KCCoombs School. . Summer Plans—Allyson pockrzett suggested -getting together next week to discuss summer plans as it is already April. The meeting will take p lace Tuesday, ril 17, location still unknown. � . Deport from Title VII Coordinator—out of 142 students 106 � forms have been collected. This form will be added for new students and available at Pre K, registration i I possible. _ Mashpee Archives would like Quashnet students to have a geld trip to the one room school house.
