BOARD of LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING <br /> TUESDAY,JUNE 1 1,2013 <br /> MAS 'EE LTBRARY CONFERENCE Roots <br /> Present: John Kowalski,Carlo 'Est , Sandra Lahar(Patricia.Gamache,and Sue McGarry. <br /> Absent: Chip.)bishop,and Mary LeClair. <br /> Also Present: Kathy Mahoney--Library Director <br /> Mike Richardson—Board of Selectmen <br /> Jack Kowalski, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. <br /> Avvroval of minutes <br /> Patricia Gamahe motioned to accept the Regular Session minutes of May 14, 2013 as Witten. <br /> Motion was seconded by Carlo 'Este. <br /> VOTE: Yes-4;and 1-abstain. <br /> Roll Call Vote: John Kowalski,,yes Patricia Ga ac e,yes <br /> Carlo I 'Este,yes Sue McGarry, abstain <br /> Sandra Lahart,yes <br /> Friends of the Library <br /> .lack Kowalski read the Friends update e-mailed by Chip Bishop: � <br /> "Everyone is justifiably pleased with the success of the Lisa Genova event in Falmouth to benefit the library. <br /> About I 10 people 109 women and Jack,representing the reale gender,I'm told)attended.The Friends have <br /> realized a net profit o o with additional revenue expected. <br /> An additional 22 rn rnbers have joined the Friends in the last month;the total is now well over loo. The <br /> executive.board is sketching the details of an ice cream social to be held this summer(probably at the library)to <br /> bring all members together socially and engage more people to help out with the various projects. <br /> The Friends also are working to produce a new bookmark incorporating art work from students at Mashpee <br /> High School. <br /> Nancy Soderberg is apparently stepping off the executive board because of the gess of other commitments. <br /> The ri rids contir ue to be very interested in the progress of the foundation~and,-shouybi:4ept&vcwmnt as <br /> developments occur." <br />
