BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING TUESDAY, ULY +9 2013 MASHP LIBRARY CORENCE ROOM Pttent: Patricia Garnache, John I ow .lski,Carlo D"Este,, Sandra Lahart, Sue McGarry,Chip Bishop,and Mary LeClair. Also Present: Kathy Mahoney–Library Director Patricia Galmahe, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.n . Approval of Mins John Kowalski motioned to approve the Special Meeting minutes and Executive Session minutes of June 25, 2013 as presented. Motion was seconded by Sue McGarry. VOTE: Yes-7. Roil Call Vote: Chip Bishop,yes Carlo l 'Este,yes Sandra Cohort,yes due 11IcGarry,yes John Kowalski,yes Mary LeClair,yes Patricia Gamache,yes Fends of the Liber • Chip Bishop reported that he attended the July 2°d Friends' Board meeting.. 0 Nancy Soderberg resigned from the executive board. a Friends scuttled plans for the summer ice crew social but are going to try and work some type of social event into their annual membership meeting in October. Friends turning their attention*to luncheon and fashion show in Septcrnber at willowben . Selling tickets at all Puritan stores, New faces at the Friends meeting—one of whore is Grace Talmadge. Grace is helping Friends with PR. and with their community outreach. • Friends interested in the Foundation. Grace Talmadge said she knows of someone as a potential foundation board candidate. Jack said he will contact her. Friends facing challenge in that not enough people to do things that have to be done. They are going to try and contact members to recruit volunteers. ,lack Kowalski mentioned that in the past we discussed getting the,Friends to do something that would involve their working with Janet Burke and that may.result'insome of the parents being interested in serving on some of the Friends' activities. Chip said he will mention this to the Friends. Reports Kathy provided her June monthly report and stated: Y 13 budget year ending so all types of things have to be done closing out the year. • FYI 4 budget copy given to the Trustees. Draft Article requesting Revolving Account be created was reviewed. Pinc monies would be used to add to the Library book collection. Katy noted that CLAMS sets rate for the fines. Kathy distributed a copy of Comcast's letter re copyright infringement.
