Mashpee Town Hall <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS/QUALIFICATIONS <br /> PART <br /> Introduction <br /> The Town of Mashpee is requesting proposals and qualifications for consultant services relating <br /> to the Falmouth and Mashpee FDIC (Economic Development Industrial Corporation) <br /> Partnership. <br /> Consultants will be expected to demonstrate their experience and successful track record in <br /> designing and implementing a Needs Analysis, completing Goal Setting and creating a Five Year <br /> Action Plan to aggressively guide the economic growth of the two-town region. Consultants will <br /> be expected to identify areas in which current and future economic development initiatives may <br /> qualify for federal, state/local, and foundation/private grant opportunities. Applicants are <br /> expected to submit qualifications and sealed price proposals by Thursday July 21, 2011 at 2:00 <br /> p.m. Qualified consultants will be contacted for follow-up interviews- <br /> Background Back round Information <br /> Barnstable County, through the Cape Cod Commission,has awarded a sum of money to the <br /> Falmouth and Mashpee EDIC partnership to hire a Management Consultant. Approximately <br /> $30,000 has been allocated for the consultant services. The successful individual or firm will be <br /> charged with providing a clear path forward for each EDIC and their budding partnership, <br /> focusing on four primary tasks; 1)Need Analysis for future economic development activities; 2) <br /> Goal Setting with an emphasis on policy and planning; 3) Creation of a Five Year Action Plan for <br /> the Partnership incorporating a separate`Business Plan" for both the Falmouth and Mashpee <br /> EDICs; and 4) Identify Income to sustain the Partnership and each EDIC through public and <br /> private sources. <br /> Goal <br /> The goal of this project is to create a vision and working plan that will a) strengthen both FDIC's; <br /> b) evaluate their emerging Partnership to determine roles and the advantages/disadvantages of a <br /> more permanent merge; c) foster creative economic growth in the two towns; d) create jobs and <br /> business opportunities; and e) allow the EDICs and their Partnership to sustain themselves as they <br /> shepherd fixture growth. <br /> Timeline <br /> Consulting services and deliverables will be completed by February 15, 2012. <br />
