S <br /> FDIC <br /> Mutes <br /> August 22, 2011 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Update on Recruitment of a 7th Member via the f lash ee Chamber of Conerce: <br /> Presently,the ERIC is seeking membership to bring the board to full compliment. <br /> The vacancy is currently in the advertisement process. <br /> Update-on the Pluning Board andthe Strategic Planc Development <br /> Section <br /> Recently, several members of the EDIC met with the Planning Board for the <br /> purpose of reviewing the Economic Development section of the Local <br /> Comprehensive plan(LCP). <br /> It was noted the ERIC board voted and approved the Strategic Plan for Economic <br /> Development as prepared by Bill Newton last June. The FDIC at their joint <br /> meeting with the PIar tYg Board reviewed amendments incorporated by the <br /> Planning Board and.'Town planner in detail. It is anticipated the PIrming Board <br /> gill disseminate a neve draft to the FDIC for additional review. <br /> Members of the EDIC attending the joint meeting expressed concern to the <br /> lengthy process. <br /> Follow P2.to Joint I1rlee n with the„Board of Selectmen on AuMjLt.8, 2011: <br /> At the Selectmen's Meeting of August 8, 2011,the FDIC was directed to move <br /> forward with advertisement for the purpose of soliciting possible"expressions o <br /> interest"for the possible transfer ofthe -acre parcel to the EDIC for its control <br /> and use.
