Mashpee Planning Board - <br /> Minutes of Meeting. <br /> - <br /> April 6, 2011 at 7p.m. <br /> Selectmen's Meeting Room, Ma tepee Town Hall <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The Twn of 1lahpee Planning Board meeting was opened with a quonnn in the Selectmen's <br /> Meeting Room at Mashpee Town Hall by Chairman Waygan at 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April <br /> 6, 2011. <br /> Planning Board Members Present: Chairman Mary Waygan, vice Chair Dennis Bal arini, <br /> Clerk Joe.Mullin, urge Petersen, David Ko harian <br /> Also Present: Tomudala-Town Planner, Worn Maya-SIS Administrator, Charles loner_ <br /> Consultant Engineer, Selectman Mchael.Richardson <br /> APPROVAL of AlOUTES <br /> March 22 2011 <br /> Changes to the minutes were,recommended by Mr. Tudala. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Bal arinl made a motion to accept as amended the minutes of March 2. <br /> Mr. Mullin seconded the motion. Ali voted unanimously. <br /> March 16, 2011 <br /> There were no recon rnended changes to the minutes. Chairman Waygan referenced the <br /> Southport motion on page 3 which was too general and recommended that the Board re- rote on <br /> motion tonight that would match the written decision. <br /> MOTION: Mr.BaL arinl made a.motion to accept the minutes of March 16 as presented. <br /> Mr. Ruffin seconded the motion. Ali voted unanimously, <br /> ENERGY ELEMENT of Co IPRENSIVE PLAN UPDATE-Tom Mayo <br /> Mr. Mayo referenced the Green Communities Program, ofwhich 1 lashp a had become a <br /> member last year. The requirements fulfilled to become a member of the Careen Communities <br /> Program will assist in the preparation of the Energy Element for the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Mr. Mayo stated that the summary and the introduction were a combination-of the previous plan <br /> with updated information and Cape Cod Commission requirements. The town-based goals and <br /> objectives also r fim requirements of the Cape Cod Commission. Mr. Mayo o stated that the <br /> goals were broad based but that he intended to develop an action plan in order to achieve the <br /> goals. The goals focus on reducing energy usage in the buildings, the fleet and in lighting. The <br /> goals also include education to help reduce town-wide.energy usage as well as an effort to <br /> promote renewable energy where appropriate. lir. Mayo read the more specific objectives on <br /> page 7. <br /> Mr. Mayo referenced the Inventory and Analysis of Energy Use and Costs-which highlights the <br /> reduced energy usage each year as a result of the implementation of policics-and efficiencies. <br /> Mr. Mayo highlighted,various incentive and funding oppoties such as the Green <br /> 1 <br />
